In SUPERMAN'S PAL JIMMY OLSEN #50 (1961) written by Jerry Siegel Jimmy Olsen inherits an ancestral castle in Sweden.

The similarities here to Carl Barks's famous story about the Castle of Clan McDuck suggest themselves. However, what is really interesting is the fact that this nonetheless establishes Jimmy Olsen and his relatives in the Middle Ages European history of Earth-1.

Was there an Olsen family member involved with the Viking Prince, for instance? The Shining Knight, I believe, was on Earth-2, a fact born out by his ALL-STAR SQUADRON appearances...but it was established that there was a King Arthur and a Round Table on Earth-1 as well.

Olsen himself made several trips to the Middle Ages, both as Marco Polo and as a sort of "Metropolis Yankee" in King Arthur's Court-style adventure.

Who's to say he didn't leave behind a little DNA legacy?

Telle, are you saying that Jimmy could be his own great-great-(some number of greats)-grandfather?

That seems like it must be paradoxical somehow.

Ewww, no.... would hate to subject Jimmy to one of my least favorite sci-fi cliches (the idea of someone predestined to travel back in time to, apparently, have sex with their ancestors/best friend's mother/etc. and impregnate them... yeah, so I dislike "Terminator" for that reason...). Plus, for genetics reasons, it wouldn't be possible anyway...

That's right --Superwoman/Wells was a descendant of Jimmy.  Luckily, there was no chance of them getting together because she was turned off by Jimmy's lack of chest hair (and turned on by Steve Lombard's "grizzly" pelt).

Reminds me of the episode of Futurama wherein Fry and the others were sent back in time, by an accident, to 1947.

Fry then inadvertently caused his grandfather's death (before his grandparents' marriage), and his own grandmother unwittingly had sex with him ...
