Update on my proposal to write for FauxDC...

I mentioned in an Infinite Crisis thread that I had decided to submit a proposal to write fanfiction for fauxdc.com, but insisted on getting to write pre-Crisis stories and getting creative freedom. So as to offend fanboys who are in their mid-30s arguing about 'post-Crisis Superman' and his 'power levels,' I plotted a Bizarro story, an Earth-Prime story, a Composite Superman story, and a Legion of Super-Pets story, among others.

We were absolutely positive that something like this would be rejected. And yet, I get this email today...

"I find it ambitious, odd, yet very intriguing and would like to see more."

Elseworlds, Tangent, Just Imagine, etc.  are a thing of the past for DC comics.  

Your stories will probably have the Elseworlds logo slapped on them for those that don't fit into Faux DC contiuity.

I still feel that Five Earths would be the better choice, but hey if Faux DC wants them that'll work as well

Good luck with your fan-fiction, Gangbuster Thorul!  I've been working on the side with my own project, as Dylan Clearbrook can attest.  But I also had an idea of Streaky's last day in the Legion of Super-Pets, when he overhears Saturn Girl and Brainiac 5 privately discuss old history tapes of Supergirl's... *gulp*...um, of Kara's... *choke*... her...*sob*...   :shock:
