Season Two of the Adventures of Superman is now on sale and has some fantastic episodes including:

- Superman in Exile,
- The Dog Who Knew Superman (one of my favorites),
- The Face and the Voice,
- Panic in the Sky w/ optional voice-over by Jack Larson and Noel Neill (another favorite),
- Stamp Day for Superman w/ new intro by Jack Larson

You can pick up your set here.

I've just become an instant fan of this show, thanks largely to the Season 2 set.  There were some really entertaining episodes that year!  In addition to the ones mentioned above, I also love Around The World With Superman and Shot in the Dark.

Naturally, I had to pick up Season 1, which I'm enjoying equally as much.  However, I do think Superman was put to better use in the second season.  Despite the first year being uniformly good, there were more than a few episodes where Superman wasn't really needed, imo.

Of course, that could also be due to Reeves' Clark Kent being interesting enough to carry the entire episode himself.

This was a fun show as well.  I love the scene where Superman is leaning casually against the wall, smiling at the crook's foiled plan.  When the crook suddenly acts as though he will hurt the dog, the look on George Reeves' face is classic.  (It's very,  "Man, I WILL kick your ass!")  Cheesy

S2 is the SECRET ORIGIN OF THE SILVER AGE  as Whitney Ellsworth producing and Mort Wesignger as story editor.

The shift from S1 is readily apparent with a stronger moralistic father figure Superman as opposed to the two fisted avenger of the Golden Age and Season 1.

Oh yeah Noel Neill is hot here , Jack's perfecting Jimmy and John Hamilton's blowing smoke up everyone's presses.

Heck Ive only watched two episodes so far.

Oh joy oh happiness. S! Smiley
