Few stories can be called a classic from the day it was published and actually be a  classic.  I Flew With Superman is truly a all time classic and one of my favorite stories ever!

I'd like to get a belt buckle like that one Curt has.

It's one of my favorites, too.

I guess this tale proves that "The Last Earth-Prime Story" was misnamed. Cool

You may very well be able to.  Back in 1976, DC offered buckles that looked very much like this for readers who sent in coupons from their whole line of comics.  The bad part was you had to actually cut the coupons off the covers of the books!  Sad

I cheated, I guess, 'cause I found one at a craft sale or flea market or something around 1978, and I still have it to this day.  In fact, here's a picture I just took of it...it's shown pretty much at actual size.  Keep in mind it could use a good cleaning.

Hmmm...I remember I stopped wearing it cause it seemed so big when I was 13, but now it's a pretty handy size.  I might have to go out and buy me a belt for this thing...

Oops, forgot to add:

I think I've seen the buckle on eBay once or twice, so keep trying if you really want one.  If it helps with your search, here's what's written on the back:

Solid Brass
Taiwan
1978
Baron Buckle
4356
Taiwan (partially obscured) R.O.C.

Nightwing, thanks very much for posting that picture!  I've never seen a Superman logo quite like the one used for that belt buckle.  It's a beautiful design.

Hey, if you're still interested, I found a new one that's pretty close:

...and it's pretty cheap.  Though whether it's endorsed by DC is anyone's guess...
