Julius Marx' newest column, with a plethora of pictures of a whole slew of Superman and Superman-related action figures!   know we've talked about some of them here, but the pics are incredible!

I'm NOT going to spoil your surprise if you haven't seen this column yet, so just click below:

Thanks for posting this, I've been waiting eagerly to see what Julius would report.

Best news for me is Composite Superman!  This is what DC Direct should be about...making figures that would never see the light of day under any other circumstances.  Talk about a dream project.

Composite Superman doesn't let DC Direct off the hook, though!  I still want a Silver Age Brainiac!  LOL

The only thing that would make me happier is if Mattel would release a 6" Superman line!  Wink

I agree about the SA Brainiac.  Hopefully if the SA Batman sets are doing well (and they must be), DC will eventually get around to some Superman sets as well.  I know the Batman "rogue's gallery" still benefits, even 40 years on, from exposure on the TV show, but that doesn't explain the Batwoman/Bat-Girl two-pack.  So there's no excuse not to do some classic Superman characters, as well:

Brainiac
Bizarro #1
Prison outfit Luthor
Nightwing and Flamebird (dare I hope?)
Parasite
Prankster
Toyman
Phantom Zone Villains

I know some of these characters might have limited appeal, but I think packaged together, around catchy themes, they could work.

The only bad news out of the Con is that DC Direct has no interest whatever in doing vehicles or playsets.  Ah well...

Well if we're doing wish lists, Nightwing, here's mine!  Cheesy

Clark Kent
Purple-and-green jumpsuit Luthor
Armored Luthor
Killer Robot Brainiac
Mr. Mxyzptlk  (How hard would it be to redo that Oberon figure?)
Parasite
Master Jailer (with a bunch of chains to hold Superman and Supergirl; maybe a cage)
Terra-Man (with or without his winged horse)
Kryptonite Man

Of course, these are all in addition to your list!  LOL

And Super-Monkey?  I'm just glad I got to be the one who was able to post the link to Julius Marx' column and start this thread!  Wink  Someday, I'm gonna have pics of my Superman collection on-line to share with everybody here.  Smiley

Superman & Bizarro are sure purchases for me.

I'm really thrilled about Bizarro.  He's gonna have a nice place on a shelf next to Superfriends Luthor and Kingdom Come Magog!

No Alex Ross Bizarro for me.  My kid needs to be able to sleep at night.

And so do I.
