I just added page 9 to the still-unpublished K-Metal story.

This lone page was recently published in Alter Ego #37, along with a fantastic article by Will Murray entitled: "The Kryptonite Crisis - The Secret Origins of the 1940 'K-Metal' Story."  Will has done an absolutely amazing amount of research about this story, and I highly recommend this article to everyone.  Its importance can not be over stated.  The issue is still available via mail order.

1/2006 - Administrator's note: The scan of page nine has temporarily been removed from the site in order to avoid story spoilers

I like his theory that Lois Lane was going to become Superman's "partner" in every sense of the word, including that she would have received Super powers from the K-Metal radiation, thereby becoming the original Superwoman.  As he points out, we saw this same story idea later reused in a published dream sequence.

I also never realized that the K-Metal story was actually resolving plot threads that were in previously published tales.

The world would be very different had this story been published.
