Yesterday afternoon around 5:39 PM, the database forum was minorly corrupted.  Today I took advantage of the forum downtime to upgrade to the latest version of SMF.

I was unable to repair the corrupt table, so I instead deleted it and recreated it in an empty state.  What this means is that the first time you log in after the upgrade, when you click on "Show unread posts since last visit," you will only be told about the posts made after the upgrade.  This is not necessarily the truth.  There may have been new posts between your previous log in and the forum upgrade, it is just that the "show unread posts" page won't know about them.  In order to discover what they are, you'll have to go manually search for them in the various sections; and the latest few are always listed at the bottom of the main forum page.

"The bottom line involves choices.  Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever.  Good or evil, they are bound to choose.  And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us.  As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose.  If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be?  As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer."   - Jack Kirby
