I haven't read the LOSH in years, but I may have to pick up an issue now. I wonder if this is the longest gap in stints by the same writer on the same title.

Is there a sign of hope of Maggin and Bates returning to Superman someday?

It can only help. The book is so incredibly bland now that it's got nowhere to go but up.

I wasn't impressed with Shooter's 70's run under Boltinoff but perhaps he was under some editoral pressure at the time.

Oh man... oh MAN!!!

This is -- wow -- I can't believe it...

It would be great for him to do a cross over story with the Legion of the '60's... revisit one of his old stories...

Has Jim Shooter written any good comics since 1980?  My favourite work by him was his testimony in the Michael Fleisher libel case against Harlan Ellison.

Gerry Conway, Interview: "There are so many people who have stories of the things Jim [Shooter] has done that we have to weigh the possibility that he really is ... [laughter] as bad as they say."

Jim Shooter only good run was on The Legion, he pretty much fail to impress with anything else, like Secret Wars 2 for example Smiley
