WHo's your favortite member of the LSH? Mine has always been Mon-El.  I've pictured him acting from the zone as a guiding force to the line of El thru the generations, sort of their inner voice, and once he was freed from the zone being the big brother and tease to Superboy and Supergirl. Always looking at them and saying something like "Believe me you don't want to do that", "you'll never change, you know that?" or "yea I knew that was going to happen"

I always thought Mon-El was sort of boring, despite his genuinely exciting backstory. As far as I can tell, he emerged from the Phantom Zone after 1,000 years, dusted himself off, and said "Glad that's over", and just carried on. Your question did make me think about which member of the LSH I really liked, and I started to realise I don't have as much affection for any of them as I thought. I sort of liked Invisible Kid, because I always liked an Invisible Man story, but let's face it, he never did much. I sort of liked Ultra Boy, because he was a bit volatile and also had the most wonderful limitation to his powers ever, a bit as if I were told that I could either chew gum or walk at the same time. Finally, though, I plumped for Chameleon Boy, who was consistently depicted as a very pleasant character, and also made fun of Spider-Man once. He's got to be the favourite. Why recent depictions of him make him look so sappy is beyond me.

Anyway, given that nothing is funnier than a comic book panel taken out of context, here's an offering from Gone & Forgotten: http://www.ape-law.com/GAF/pages/when-the-legion-was-young-and-innocent.shtml

Excellent site!      Since there was a recent discussion of Bouncing Boy (Who I DO like incidentally), here's a page from the same site:

One of my all time favorite covers !   Two guys with xray vision, and they look under each others clothes, instead of the girl's.

In the early Adventure LSH's Lightning Lad had the most dramatic arc: lost his life, came back as his sister, was restored to life, lost his arm fighting the Super-Moby Dick of space, got his arm back and then gets to marry Saturn Girl!

Of course the real question is who's your favorite Legionnaire after Superboy! Wink

My memory of the Legion is that I may have liked it more than even Superman, but part of the reason why was because I didn't have a favorite as much as liking the idea of the group.  Less was more, though I liked how Superboy's fleshed-out backstory mixed in.
