I have scanned some pages of an old book I have with Composite Superman in it. There is also some Shazam in the same book.

I believe it is World's Finest but not sure if it is 142 or 168.

The cover has been ripped off otherwise i would not be asking this question.

Also, is this a difficult (expensive) comic to get ahold of?

Hope someone can help.

Thanks,

Is it one of these stories?

What you have is a copy of Super-Team Family #6, from September 1976.  Not sure if it's worth much, but it's a nice comic, as were many issues of this series that started out as a reprint mag and later featured original teamings of various heroes (and a 3-issue "comeback" for the Challengers of the Unknown!).

Here's the cover you're missing:

Awesome.

I was kinda thinking this might be the case.

Thanks for the help. It certainly is appreciated.

I was hoping it was inexpensive to replace. Do they have a term for comic books that have been mutilated?

Was able to find a fine copy for just a couple bucks on a popular auction site.

Thanks for all your help.

The Shazam story is a fun read as well.
