Two recent site updates:

First, a week or so ago I added a page about the latest version of Superman to the "About the Comics" section;

Second, I'm right in the midst of installing and configuring "coppermine" on the site, and am also currently copying everything from the old Fan Gallery into it.

Coppermine is a picture album package that is also integrated with the forum.  Everyone who has an account here can upload their own pictures - not just Fan Art, but also photos, scans, or anything else that's Superman related.  Similarly, in order to upload any artwork, you need to have an account here.

You can also rate and comment on everyone else's pictures.

Check it out at here; and feel free to provide any feedback as we're still learning how to set it up.

I just attempted some uploads from my personal collection but they didnt seem to take hold.  Do they need approval? Or did I just not do it right?

The gallery is currently configured such that all uploaded files need to be approved - but I don't see any of yours in the staging area.  The upload process should take at least three screens to complete, and on one of them you need to use the drop-down menu to select which album the picture is intended for, otherwise the process won't complete.

The last screen should read,

"The previous file was placed successfully.

Your file was uploaded successfully.

It will be visible after admin approval."

Should be an "Upload File" button on the left, right above where it says "Logout [username]"

There is none. Sad  right above the Logout (Super Monkey) button there is the My Profile button then finally the Home button on top.

Thanks!

But for some reason I couldn't add to the Misc gallery. So I picked the next closest thing.
