Looking for a story

Please help find this story, around early 70`s - The cover (or inside page) picture shows Supes and an angel in space, the earth in the background, and the angel has just flung a missile at the earth! Also (I think) a red devil is in the picture, and is really the good guy! Moral, looks can be deceptive? Also I think the story ends up in a mini universe, and Supes thinks it may have all been a dream anyhow! surreal, uh? Does this great story ring any bells?
