I can't think of any reason why not, its a Superman-centered story during the right time period...

E. Neslon Bridwell??  How could that not be canonical?

Look closer at the list, you must have missed it.

Superman: The Secret Years is about Clark's untold college days...it gives him a long haired roomate who drinks and drives and gets paralyzed, another that he tells his identity to, shoe-horns Lori Lemaris in as an afterthought, and has Superman going as Superboy...some people say it was a set up for the Superboy TV series, but no matter, I hate those stories... Cool

Here's a link...shudder...

It started as a series of stories in Superboy and perhaps another title that were continued into the Superman: The Secret Years four issue mini-series.  It covered Clark's experiences in college and how he transitioned from "Superboy" into "Superman."  Covers by Frank Miller.

I just read the lead-in story in Superboy where Clark decides  which university to attend, leaves Smallville, and then Perry eventually gets the scoop on Superboy's move to Metropolis after every other major city falsely claims to have him.

Did you like the story?

I'm no continuity freak, but it seemed like a prime example of re-squeezing more into Superman's past than fits well, I guess something that gets to writers after over 40 years of a single character...still, I don't think the Secret Years holds a candle to the original "Girl in Superman's Past" story of SuperMAN's college years...
