OK Tenzil, I'll bite:  Why was Superboy wearing lead goggles?

"The bottom line involves choices.  Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever.  Good or evil, they are bound to choose.  And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us.  As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose.  If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be?  As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer."   - Jack Kirby

Oh, he willingly donned them to promote a ruse where he would guess a card with the stakes being whether his parents would be killed or not...in this case, he felt the card and deliberately guessed WRONG so that evil flame beings inhabiting the Kents would think that he no longer cared for them and look for other hosts (a "seedy" couple Superboy is pretending to hang with, but who are in fact Polar Boy's parents, and who use their cold powers to destroy the evil flame beings)..."Superboy's Greatest Gamble" from 1968...

Good ones...

On the subject of super sensitive touch, Superboy once read a playing card with lead goggles on by feeling the ink and descriminating between a black Ace and a red one...

I've met people in real life who can do that.  They can feel the light bump that printed ink adds to a card.

Let's go with Supergirl.

She once grabbed a person's arm and asked questions and her sense of touch acted like a lie detector.

Let's use He-Man's Power Sword
Acted as a magnet to attract a magic ring
Absorbed energy from a forcefield
Was able to pierce the barriers between dimensions
Shocked someone when He-Man shouted 'By the Power of Grayskull, while that person was holing it
Generated a field of energy around itself to allow He-Man to cut of the top of a mountain
