Has anybody counted the songs about Superman that are out there? let me list a few:
"Superman" The Kinks, a classic, 1979
"Superman" Greenday, good song by a group from my hometown
"Superman Kryptonite" 3 Doors Down, Love it, Powerfull!
"Its not easy being me" (Superman) 5 for fighting, Great, just as powerfull as above song
"Superman" Matchbox 20, not my favotite-but thats me
"Superman" Eminem, to round it out, its good too, Lois Lane might like it
I also have the Movie theme, many of the radio shows, & the theme to the 1950s TV show
I will bet more are on the way,as long as 'Smallville' stays on the air & I probably missed some.Let me know

The Spin Doctors (who played Grunge music or whatever the kids call it. Buncha punks, gimme Sinatra any day) did "Jimmy Olsen's Blues" and "Pocketful of Kryptonite". Can't remember how they went.

"The bottom line involves choices. Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever. Good or evil, they are bound to choose. And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us. As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose. If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be? As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer." - Jack Kirby

Don't forget Superman by Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians, it was on their Queen Elvis album and came out in 1987 or 1988.
