Luthor's got an MO similar to the 1978 movie...and he's wearing a purple shirt with metal x-straps across it. (Nice nod to the Bronze Age there.)

LexCorp is going bye-bye. Guess Kingpin Lex is as good as gone...good riddance.

Luthor's old battlesuits have fallen into would-be Intergang hands.

Decidedly animated-style version of the Toyman and Metallo are in Luthor's emply. (Although I don't recall the animated Toyman being a midget; the cartoon had him and Lois at close to the same height. Minor quibble.)

A Super GL ring that may or may not get used.

Clark actually needing to wear glasses without his powers.

I'm liking this. It really does feel like a distillation of the best aspects of the Superman mythos and a forward momentum for the series. Call me crazy, but I think Superman's finally back in the game.

If there's any flaws, it's the art...namely, the inks. Pete Woods' pencils would look much better with a more flowing ink line. The hard, angular inking detracts from what looks to be solid pencilling. One wonders what Cam Smith is up to these days? That guy had a knack for inks that would make any penciller's work look flowing and lyrical. The coloring is still aces, though.

Any any rate, it's looking good for Superman. Here's hoping for more of the good stuff in the coming months.

My first novella, Wounds of the Heart (http://www.booksurge.com/product.php3?bookID=IMPR02655-00001), has been published. Check it out, if you like.

Thanks for the highlights.

Many people want others to accept their opinions as fact. If enough people accept them as fact then it gives the initial person or persons a feeling of power. This is why people will constantly talk about something they hate—they want others to feel the same way. It matters to them that others perceive things the same way that they do.
