Like AlbertoM, I have been trying to find a Superman story I remember from my childhood. I read it in the Swedish edition, but it must date from the early to mid-seventies and featured Green Arrow and The Atom, so it could be The Brave And The Bold or something. The art was pretty definitely Curt Swan.

I can't remember much about it, but there was a scene in which Ray Palmer parachuted into Kandor to confer with some Kryptonian scientists there, which I thought was wonderfully cool. I don't think Green Arrow did much of anything in the story.

That sounds like Action #455. That has Green Arrow and The Atom guest-starring and Atom does parachute into Kandor.

The art is by Curt Swan and it's written by none other then Elliot S! Maggin !

Well, no doubt about it then! Thanks a lot, Alberto. Sorry I couldn't help you with the guy with the TV... Sad

And here is a panel from the story

which is available from the Maggin bibliography page.

Ah, it's all coming back to me now... this movie producer builds a robot out of old bits of office machinery and it somehow comes to life. I remember being quite impressed by the fact that Ray Palmer didn't bother to wear his mask in Kandor, as though he didn't mind eight million Kryptonians knowing his secret identity. I suppose Superman told them all the secret identities he knew anyway...
