I was reading this article on sleep, which has nothing to do whatsoever with Superman until you get to the last paragraph, then you'll see why I posted it. Cheesy

So...Superman doesn't have to sleep very much because he is a herbivore, as Birthright says.

Thanks, Jerome Siegel!

That article said that herbivores need to eat all day & that they nap when they can.  Then there is the fact that most herbivores are prey for carnivores.  The life of a herbivore: constantly eating while trying to avoid being eaten.  No wonder that they only nap when they can.

I've always thought that while Superman shouldn't physically need sleep, he would mentally. I see him getting about two hours of sleep each night. He has to always be prepared in case of an emergency.

Additionally, I'd think that he'd have his Superman robots fly around the Earth when he's either sleeping or posing as Clark Kent. It would create the illusion that Superman is always active.

Many people want others to accept their opinions as fact. If enough people accept them as fact then it gives the initial person or persons a feeling of power. This is why people will constantly talk about something they hate—they want others to feel the same way. It matters to them that others perceive things the same way that they do.

It's been stated that Superman DOESN'T need sleep, but he DOES need to dream, just like humans.

That's why he WOULD take the time to go to sleep.

I think it says in Miracle Monday that he can sleep hemispherically like a dolphin.
