Thank goodness we have his comics and other contributions to Superman, et al, because looking at E. Nelson Bridwell's estate makes me kind of sad.

13 comics boxes.  I hope I leave a juicy diary, at least.

Photo-still of Bridwell as an extra in a scene from "Superman II" (See: Oversize 13:15).

WHOA.

Where was THIS in SUPERMAN II? I'll have to keep my eyes peeled next time I watch the thing.

I know that he had boxes and boxes - a complete apartment full - of notes he had made about things like life on Krypton, the complete Kryptonian language (which he had fully developed - a vocabulary, grammar, alphabet, etc), and more.

I think those boxes possibly went to Rich Morrisey and/or Al Turniansky when he passed on, I'm not sure.  Nor do I know where they are today.

But I do know that they are invaluable, and are the real treasures of his estate.

It's good to know that there is more out there.  Like I said, we know about his vast contributions to world culture.  They are just not reflected very well in this collection.

I would like to hear/see more about his film cameo --not on the cutting room floor, I hope.
