It's exponential.  The higher the rank you've gotten, the more you need to get to the next rank.  That way it's just as challenging - and just as rewarding - for the seasoned pro as for the newbie.  The ranks you've worked your way through so far were at 0, 1, 5, 20, 50, and 100 posts. (Congratulations!)

So you can probably figure out a good ballpark figure for where the next rank will be  ;-)

But just because you'll have filled out that last S symbol doesn't mean you'll have reached the highest rank you can get.
