Given the talk about the general crappiness of mainstream superhero comics going on in other threads, I thought I'd post a link to a review of a new French superhero comic (no, not the new Asterix book).

Today, Bart Beatty reviews Crazyman, by French superstar Edmond Beaudoin.  The book (graphic novel) is about a Superman with issues, done right, according to Beatty.  The review is at the Comics Reporter:

If you speak French (I doubt that it is translated), look for "Couma Aco", Baudoin's memoir of his remarkable grandfather. Strange and beautiful.
