Very nice image if I ever saw one - makes me think of the greatest imaginary stories cover.  They had a lot of the characters in their weird looks (not all of them looked weird but Superred-superblue...) together...

Ah, but Alan Moore's Swamp Thing has been ret-conned from DCU to Vertigo-U, which I believe is actually a separate continuity that happens to somehow sort-of include bits of the DCU sometimes.

That is correct, Swamp Thing is not part of the DCU.

But, the crossover with Superman is included for you Swamp-fans.

The Great Rao from Sandman is not the same one as the DCU, if there even is one.

I was going to mention Swampy as well, but thought that some sort of retcon was in effect.  Moore's Swamp Thing was really the impetus for the creation of Veritgo, as I recall.  But still, there are classic Batman, Spectre, Demon, Phantom Stranger, Hawkman, Green Lantern and Adam Strange stories --not to mention Zatarra, Dr. Occult, the guy from Night Force, Jason Woodrue, the JLA satellite, etc --stories galore in Swamp Thing (and not just cameos, but full-blown, multi-issue stories).  Not DCU?  C'mon!

Good news on the Moore collection.  I always liked the short stories from the GL Corps annuals especially.

But the big revelation here is that we will be getting Volume 2 of the Man of Tomorrow Archives.  A lot of folks were wondering if that would happen, given that the entire contents of this book are already available in the Showcase Presents volume that just came out.  Good news for Archives fans who were assuming that the Showcase books would shut out some of their favorite comics from Archive treatment.
