Another good one.

Many people want others to accept their opinions as fact. If enough people accept them as fact then it gives the initial person or persons a feeling of power. This is why people will constantly talk about something they hate—they want others to feel the same way. It matters to them that others perceive things the same way that they do.

I agree this is a really cool cover:

...but the story inside is so awful it kind of makes up for it.

And this one by Joe Kubert is also fabulous.  The story is a bit off-beat, and not quite great, but as it deals with the still-in-progress war in Vietnam (an event so far as I know otherwise ignored in the super-books of the era), it certainly has some historical appeal...

But for the record, it wasn't Kubert's only Superman cover.  He also did the cover...and interior art (YAY!!!!)... for this gorgeous issue of DCCP:

Not strictly Superman, but I've always liked it:

And I like my own "special edition" version of Superman 296:

Another "photo background" cover, this one with Neal Adams' Superman:

2nd vote for Superman 391, which has always been a long-time favorite:

In mine own immortal words, "more soon!" Wink

And here I was just bragging about my new 20-inch monitor.  That Superman is such a show-off.

He had a widescreen/flatscreen before the rest of us.
