Jimmy Olsen seems to be less of a victim to be saved than the voice of the people during and after Birthright.

Jimmy is the guy who voices the fear of the people over Superman and his powers in BR.  He also is key towards showing Superman's true heroism on the internet and the beginnings of acceptance.

Jimmy is the one who gives Clark the message that Superman going nuclear over a second-rate foe like Blackrock was unacceptable.  He also was how the people expressed their fear over that heat vision attack.  He was the one who told Superman to finally cut it out else the heat vision attack would have continued.

I like the new take on Jimmy.  He's much more than just a junior reporter or other kind of second-stringer and victim-in-waiting.  He speaks for for the common man, IMHO.

Hello to you,

I haven't read this series because I'm such a space invader of the sa!  BUT - I do have plans to shrink the cities of 2005 anyways...  I always liked Jimmy Olsen as supporting character but he is one of these who became more than the some of his parts - he became his own when a series devoted to him came alive too!
It doesn't surprise my superior robotic intellect that Jim would evolve into something else.  He will be studied when I shrink Metropolis.
Nice to read about character development in a positive way!
