Kudos to you, King Krypton, for the pics!

The more I hear about this movie, the better I like it. With each passing pic, Brendan Routh looks more and more like Superman; my greatest reservation about this film, namely, Routh's casting, is gradually evaporating.

From the SKY CAPTAIN-style visual aesthetic to Bryan Singer as director, to the Donner music to the incorporation of successful elements from all versions of Superman - SUPERMAN RETURNS looks like a winner! I'm not the type to gush, but I can't wait to see it. I haven't been this jazzed about a picture since seeing NAPOLEON DYNAMITE or SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW.

Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor clowning around in between takes with Parker Posey as one of his stooges:

There's also snippets from the lastest blog where we see Frank Langella as Perry White.

Brandon Routh looks more and more like Superman, and Kevin Spacey looks more and more like Lex Luthor. If Gene Hackman hadn't been such a sissy about wearing a bald head covering, he'd look EXACTLY like Kevin Spacey does here - the resemblance is astonishing between the two men.

Do you know if they're using evil scientist Silver Age Luthor, or the Modern Age one?

When I heard the casting for this film the first time, I thought they had made a mistake: Parker Posey IS Lois Lane. Seeing her as an evil henchwoman is fine, but they ought to reverse things there.

I see the thread's been cleaned up. Just as well, we were going around in circles, anyway.

I think I like it better this way.  Cheesy

This thread is for posting pictures of Brandon Routh as Superman.

The ensuing discussions have been forked off into "Thoughts on Superman Returns" for people to discuss their thoughts about the movie itself, and "The Peanut Gallery" for discussion about those nattering nabobs of negativity that may (or may not) be found on other forums.

In the future, please stay on topic and start new threads when the subject matter changes.

Thanks,

Your Friendly Neighborhood Deity.
