(For the kids, not me...I'm not THAT old). I'd still prefer my SA Superman in color Archives, but I'll probably break down and get these TPBs as well. If nothing else, they'll be good for my boys to read...better than trusting them with pricey Archives.
Metamorpho and GL are good news, too...I like their stuff, but certainly not enough to pay full Archive prices.
If this takes off, maybe we'll see some of the more obscure cool stuff from the past, or stuff that was too "iffy" to risk doing an Archive of. Stuff like Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane, great old strips like Sea Devils, Atomic Knights, Captain Comet and the like. Maybe some done-in-one Bronze stuff like Freedom Fighters and Secret Society of Super-Villains and the 70s "All-Star" issues.
This really does open the door to some great possibilities. Marvel's "Essentials" line really got interesting for me when it delved into stuff like "Tomb Of Dracula" and "Marvel Team-Up." This could be our chance to see some old DC gems in a similar vein...good reads that never had the sales appeal or big names to be reprinted before.
