This is from the Superman Homepage:

Quote
March 18, 2003: Superman Movie In Ruins

The Hollywood Reporter claims that both Brendan Fraser and Matthew Bomer are now out of contention for the title role for the up-coming Superman movie. The article reads...

Insiders said both sides parted amicably, but the project could be starting over from scratch. Today is the day the studio is expected to decide the fate of director Brett Ratner's option, which expired Saturday.

see http://supermanhomepage.com for more.

And now there's even talk of "The Curse"

They neglect to mention that Dean Cain is in an upcoming action flick and the incredible things that Christopher Reeve is doing...

At any rate, things don't look good for the movie.  Maybe it'll be another ten years???

And as of Wednesday (3/19), Rattner is off the film.  Thus there is no director and no leading man for a movie slated to start filming in August.

I'd say there's a curse, alright.

I'm glad Ratner is off the movie.  I never felt he was the right man for the job.  Neither is Peters for that matter.  What they have is a bunch of people who don't know enough about Superman.  Therefore they don't know what they're doing and it's taking forever.

The only curse I see on this movie is the the curse of that awful script.
