Adventure 346 (continued into 347)

Trials and induction of new Legion members, including Ferro Lad, Princess Projectra, Karate Kid, and Nemesis Kid...Karate Kid gives Superboy a good work out...

Implication that Karate Kid is a traitor, later it is shown to be Nemesis Kid...

Hey, all the good ones are taken!

But I'll echo them:

"The Legion Chain Gang" (reprinted in the 70s with a neat Jim Starlin wraparound cover).  Neat to see the kids in civilian garb and on the run.

That Mordru two-parter ("Flee, Legionaires, flee!") where the kids hide out in the 20th Century.  And poor Duo Damsel reveals her secret crush on Superboy...

The Sun-Eater story with the Fatal Five and the death of Ferro Lad.

Also liked the Cockrum-drawn tale where the Fatal Five attack the 20th Century and the Persuader "kills" Superboy.
