"The bottom line involves choices. Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever. Good or evil, they are bound to choose. And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us. As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose. If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be? As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer." - Jack Kirby

The Revenge of Young Darkseid
It is one spring morning in Metropolis, 2966. In front of the Super-Hero Clubhouse, there is a long line of hopefull Legion Applicants.
The Legionnaires are even now interviewing somebody who calls herself "Astounding Girl".
"Please demonstrate your super power, Applicant!" Cosmic Boy requests.
The next poster continues...

It's from the elusive Elseworlds 80-page Giant that was never distributed in the USA. As I understand it, it was just the one page.
Other one pagers included Batman with Eve in "The Garden of Evil", done in the style of 1950's Batman (Eve: "Odd, I never see Batman and Adam in the same place... I wonder..."). And The Golden Age Teen Titans, starring Dr. Fate Jr, Kid Spectre, Li'l Atom, The Amazon Prince, The Golden Age Arsenal, and Stripsey; in the style of Silver Age Teen Titans. And the Metal Men set during the French Revolution, in the style of 1960's Metal Men.
They are all quite wonderful.

There apparently were others; the entire feature was by Mark Waid and Ty Templeton called "DC's Hall of Silver Age Elseworlds." In addition to the ones, I listed, there are "President Abraham (Brainiac) Lincoln versus Clark Kent, Metallo," "Luthor's Daughter, Wonder Woman," "Batman with Robin, the Squid Wonder," and "Menace of the Gorilla-Explorer" featuring Christopher Grodd Columbus. And here's links to the other pages: Metal MenBatman with EveGolden Age Teen TitansHere's a link to the description of the entire issue: http://www.lby3.com/comic/archive/elseworlds.html
