I doubt I would have even noticed the belt buckle unless someone had mentioned it.

There's still confusion over the buckle. It's still not certain if it's the full emblem or just a plain diamond shape. (There's also the question of whether the emblem's 3-D engraved or embossed like a coin, which hasn't yet been answered.) RIght now, that's the big question mark surrounding the Supersuit.

By the way, here's an early design that was floated about for the film but ultimately rejected:


I like the current proposed design better, personally. But this one wouldn't have been bad.
