I remember reading that Chief Parker was the first person to meet Superboy. I think it may have been in one of the Maggin novels. Anyone know for sure?
In updating the Superboy entry at Supermanica, I reread one of the
stories of his first appearance, from Superman 144 where an adult Superman recalls his first public appearance. In that story there are 2 unnamed cops, one older than the other. I'm guessing that the older one is Parker and jsut wonder, was that a sly insert by the creators, or is it also mentioned elsewhere in the comics? It's a great story --SB meets Roosevelt and saves a man scheduled to be executed --a variation on Superman's first appearance.
