SUPERMAN RETURNS TIMELINE

Superman Returns is a sequel to some of the Christopher Reeve Superman movies, but not to all of them.  It ignores the events of Superman III and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, becoming an alternate version of the events following Superman II.  For example, both of Clark's adopted parents have died by Quest for Peace, yet Ma Kent is still alive in Superman Returns.  A possible timeline sequence is given below:
