When we first started the K-Metal restoration project, the only original artwork that we had copies of was pages 5, 8, 11, 13, 15, 21 and 23.

Since that time, through the help of visitors to this site, we have also obtained copies of original pages 7, 9, 12, and 20 (2005).  Many have been discovered in old art catalogs.  (2007: Page 1; 2008: Page 17 discovered; 2025: Pages 2, 4, and 22 discovered)

If you are an owner of any of the original artwork or have copies of any of the additional original pages, please contact us.  Even if we have already published our own version of the page, we will replace it with a restored version of the original page by the original artists.

Out of the total 26 pages in the story, almost 11 are still lost to history: 3, 4, 6, 10, 14, 16, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26 — waiting to be discovered.

However, we have created our own versions of these missing pages in order to present The Secret of the K-Metal! as a complete, readable, full-color comic book.

Some of the formerly missing pages were discovered after we had created our own versions. In a few of these cases, we present both the 1940 version along side our own, so that the reader may enjoy two different interpretations of the same page.  But when we are able to, we replace our earlier-created version with the new restored, full-color version of the original Shuster Studio artwork.
