Yes, February 29, 1984.  Note that the original Earth-One Jason Todd officially became Robin that same month in Batman #368, so he was VERY "new to the job" when introduced to Wonder Woman in "For the Man Who Has Everything".  But he proved to be a quick study -- figuring out how to defeat Mongul with a potted plant!   Wink

That was probably Pre-Crisis Jason's finest hour.  I still hate what they did to him afterwards...   Angry

Good thing I arrived a day early -- was tough climbing up to the Fortress door.  In the past, there were times when snow would almost block the keyhole.  Must be global warming...

Amazing -- my old access code still works.  It took a while for me to remember it, but I'm back with a cake again.

Hmm... no trace of my last visit, not even the cake platter.  I guess SOMEONE still drops by the old place besides myself.

Well, time to light the candles.  "Happy Birthday, Kal-El."

Whew.  Now for the long trip back.  Don't know how many times I can continue this ritual, but--

Wait.  The candles are out already?  Where's the cake?

All right, hope you enjoyed it.  See you in another four years!

Wow, the Fortress hasn't changed a bit since the last time I visited four years ago.  Wish I could say the same for myself.  It's a struggle just to get out of bed now, let alone trudge across the Artic wastes and climb up to the doorway with a birthday cake.  Nearly forgot my access code again.  I don't think I'll be able to make it the next time February 29 rolls around.

Time to light the candles, perhaps for my last time.  "Happy Birthday, Kal-El... and thank you."
