You might remember her as the writer of one of the more interesting backups, about Lori Lemaris being caught by Russian fishermen, back in ACTION COMICS #475 (1977), as well as several "Private Life of Clark Kent" backups.

At first I thought she was a pseudonym by a known writer (maybe even Maggin) but I started to wonder if she came from fandom, because her backup issue in SUPERMAN #486 featured seldom-used character of Val Colby, the telekinetic nephew of Lex Luthor and son of Lena Thorul. In other words, the sort of detail fans like to incorporate.

And sure enough, THE BEST OF THE LEGION OUTPOST identified her as the wife of Harry Broertjes, who together with Mike Flynn was one of the co-founders of the world-famous LEGION OUTPOST fanzine. She also has letterhacked at around the same period for Superman comics and LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES.

Update:

Just got an email from Bob Rozakis (and man, that doesn't stop being cool). Apparently, she was married to Mike Flynn, not Harry.

BobRo said that she and her husband are living in Seattle, and she's written various romance novels with him.

Ask the Answer Man! He quit comics to become an accountant or something, didn't he?
