I am a lot younger than you old timers, I just like the Sliver Age Superman the best, but I actually grew up watching Superfriends, The Superman Movies, Superpowers, reruns of the George Reeves Show and reading early 1980's comics! The best part about those comics were the whole idea of the different Earths. There was something really cool about seeing the Earth-2 heroes team up with the Earth-1 heroes or Captain Marvel. I was very young, but I got it all without anyone having to explain it to me.

After all this time, it turns out that the Multiverse might be closer to reality that we thought : http://superstringtheory.com/
