Justice Society of America 9 Spoilers

My intital prediction was incorrect. Kal-L did not return and join the JSA in issue 9. Instead, Earth-22 Kingdom Come Superman transported through a black hole, generated by "Earth-1" Star Boy, to New Earth.

Getting back to Kal-L, Power Girl's dream prelude alludes to his imminent return. The last words of Kal-L ring true, "it's never going to end for us" and "they're still out there" as Kal-L's hand breaks through dirt. It's a different drawing than the one we've seen! Power Girl even says to herself it's a premonition.

With the return of the Anti-Monitor and Countdown to Final Crisis, I would expect to see Kal-L within the year. Remember in comics, does anyone ever stay dead?

Very infrequently does anyone stay dead in comics.  It does look like eventually the Earth 2 Superman will return. If he does I suspect he will go to Earth 2 in the new multiverse.

Very little relevance here, but I've heard that Captain America has been permanently and fatally killed, for political reasons.
