Title: Confusion amuck with writers. Post by: ShinDangaioh on December 01, 2006, 05:18:26 PM John Byrne is stuck in the original view
Alan Moore is stuck in the 60's view Alex Ross is stuck in the 70's view. I wonder what would happen if DC put them on the same team to write about Superman. Title: Re: Confusion amuck with writers. I'm asking because I don't know, I don't think I've ever read an interview with him. In fact, I don't know anything about him beyond the fact that I feel guilty about liking his work.
I'm guessing Alan Moore has a bit of an ego, too... or maybe not so much an ego as a towering presence. Title: Re: Confusion amuck with writers. Alex Ross, maybe I was a bit unfair, he is more outspoken and opinionated than anything else really. He seems like a really swell guy, and in fact gives away lots of his artwork for Charity auctions. So I will be happy to take that comment back. Title: Re: Confusion amuck with writers. Post by: Superman Forever on December 04, 2006, 06:45:27 PM John Byrne is actually stuck in a stupid view that is very far from the original, no matter what he says.

Ahhhhhh, runs from creepy Alan Moore painting Several years ago, a friend of mine attended a show where Alex Ross was a guest. He was a pretty cool guy. However, later on, Ross reamed Tony Harris? about Harris' work in front of attendees. I guess it was pretty harsh. Title: Re: Confusion amuck with writers. Post by: Uncle Mxy on December 27, 2006, 05:51:16 AM FWIW, it's from a Wizard cover with Alex Ross doing Alan Moore characters. Note the absence of Byrne... that's how I think it'd play out if you jammed those three together "for real". :)
