Title: Super-Kraut
Post by: TELLE on October 08, 2005, 10:03:18 PM
I hate to poach images, so I thought I'd just post a link to this book cover for a Henry Kissinger bio illustrated by John Alcorn, a prolific designer.  Kissinger as Superman, in full-colour.

I remember a Super Kraut image from Time or TV guide with a stylized 'K'.

While Kissinger was no more effective at resolving the Middle East conflicts than any before or after him, he still had some wise statements.

My favourite ran like this, IIRC: "Even paranoids have real enemies."

Yeah, well, a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Personally, I don't know how you can possibly compare Kissinger with Superman. Superman never kills and never condones killing. Kissinger consistently supported killers like Suharto of Indonesia whenever they were favorable to the economic interests of his corporate backers.
